Use of Town's Facilities

Citizens' Needs Advisory Committee
In November 2012, the Cape Charles Town Council approved the formation of the Citizens' Needs Advisory Committee to identify the needs of the community and inventory the existing assets to allow the Town to better design the physical spaces which would be available to better define the programs necessary to fill the unmet needs. The Committee was also tasked with evaluating the former library space for public use and to provide recommendations to Council. The Committee consisted of Councilmen Steve Bennett (Chair) and Frank Wendell, Patricia Buckley, Dianne Davis, Tammy Holloway and Jenni Potts. The Committee met on a monthly basis and completed a survey obtaining feedback from the citizens regarding the types of activities and programs wanted by the public. In June 2013, their report was submitted to the Town Council and staff will be reviewing the information provided for development of future programs and activities for the community.
