| The Town of Cape Charles is developing plans for improvements to the harbor infrastructure. This project is partially funded through a Virginia Port Authority grant. Langley McDonald is heading a consulting team for the project. Updates to this project will be posted when received.
RFP for South Harbor Improvements - This is the RFP that was advertised. After reviewing applications, a team headed by Langley McDonald was selected.

Cape Charles Offshore Breakwater Project:
November 2009: Sealed proposals were received by the Town of Cape Charles, at the Town Hall, 2 Plum Street, Cape Charles, VA 23310, at 2:00 p.m., local prevailing time, on Tuesday, November 10, 2009, for the Harbor Breakwaters contract in Cape Charles, Virginia. January 2010: The contract with Precon Marine for the offshore breakwaters was signed on 1/19 to construct two 400’ sections of breakwater. The entire west dock area will be utilized when Precon mobilizes to the area. The work on the offshore breakwaters is scheduled to begin in April is expected to be completed in June 2010.
