The Cape Charles Memorial Library will sponsor a presentation by Dr. Robert Paschall who will speak on May 1 at 7:00 p.m. at the Cape Charles Civic Center, 500 Tazewell Avenue. His topic will be "Strokes!"
The word stroke strikes fear in most minds, but Dr. Paschall will lead you through how to recognize the symptoms and the important timeframe to seek medical attention that can stop the damaging effects of a stroke emergency.
Known for being straight forward and to the point, Dr. Paschall's presentation may be a life changing experience, since about 790,000 Americans have strokes annually.
